He was born July 4, 1924 and adopted by Ward G. and Eleanor B. (Cory) Day. Dr. Day graduated from St. Louis University Dental College with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. He furthered his education at Missouri University of Kansas City, where he obtained an advanced degree in Orthodonics.
Dr. Day was an orthodontist for 40 years until 1991 when his practice was continued by Dr. Lisa Parker. Other personal accomplishments include: being an assistant professor at UMKC, a veteran of WWII where he served in the Army Air Corps, a veteran of the Korean Conflict where he was in the Medical Corps, he enjoyed boating, was a private pilot, and a lifetime member of the Missouri Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
Survivors: Son, Robert Thomas Day (Ike), Glen Carbon, Illinois; daughters, Elizabeth Garnett (Mark), Mission Kansas, Dominique Owens (Andrew), Dodge City, Kansas, Angelique Day, San Antonio, Texas, Monique Hooks, Panama City Beach, Florida, and Janique Flora (Brian), Guilford, Missouri; and 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Day was a member of the Missouri Cremation Service.
