Eldon Lloyd Collins, 82, Maryville, MO

He was born October 26, 1929, the son of the late Marvin Ashton and Verna Merle (Treese) Collins in Pickering, Missouri.
Eldon was united in marriage to Delores Ann Moore, August 3, 1957, in St. Joseph.
A graduate of Skidmore High School, class of 1947, Eldon received a BS in Agriculture from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
Eldon was a retired farmer. He also had worked as a rural letter carrier, retiring after 28 years of service, and a realtor with United Country Twaddle Realty, Maryville, Missouri.
Serving his country from 1951-1955, Eldon was a veteran of the United States Navy.
His memberships include the James Edward Gray American Legion Post #100, Maryville; lifetime member of University of Missouri; National Association of Retired Federal Employees; and the Rural Letter Carriers Association.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ron and Jack Collins.
Survivors include his wife Delores of the home; three children, Kevin Lloyd (Heather) Collins, San Antonio, Texas; Kimberly Ann Carathers, Topeka, Kansas; Dr. Kyle Ashton Collins, Maryville; six grandsons, Liam, Colman, Rowan, Grant, and Quin Collins; two brothers Howard Collins, Taft, California, Dr. David Collins, Centralia, Illinois; two sisters, Joan Walker and Alice Gard, both of Maryville, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday, June 28, at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville, where services will be held at 2 PM Friday. Burial will be in the Nodaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Maryville.
Memorials may be given to the Nodaway County Senior Center or Nodaway County Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
