Buchanan and Andrew county judges rank amongst the best in the state. The Fifth Judicial Circuit...consisting of seven judges...were awarded the David O` Toole award by the Missouri Supreme Court. The award was given to 5 out of 45 circuits across Missouri...that had the best effeciency when it comes to getting cases heard and resolved in a timely manner. This is the third time in the last four years the 5th Judicial Circuit has won the award. Buchanan county judges say it`s great to be recognized but they`re just doing their job. "I think we make a lot of effort to make sure that when cases are filed that they`re heard in at timely manner," says Presiding Circuit Judge Patrick Robb. "People come to court because they want to have their case heard and they want to have a resolutio of a dispute. And it`s our job to dipose of those cases in a timely fashion," says Circuit Judge Weldon Judah. The Fifth Judicial Circuit will be recognized September 27th and 28th at the State Judicial Conference in St. Louis.
