A Top-Heavy Concrete Mixing Truck Takes a Spill in St. Joseph

St. Joseph police say a Payless Concrete truck that was traveling northbound on Belt Highway in St. Joseph tried to turn west onto Pear Street when it tipped over.
The driver, 43-year old Allen Spencer, of St. Joseph, was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center by private vehicle to be treated for minor cuts.
Other concrete workers at the scene tell KQ2 that sometimes concrete sticks in the top of the mixer and causes an already heavy truck to lose balance.
No summons was issued.
