Wire Rope Goes Global

Local manufacturer Wire Rope Corporation is branching out.
The company announced plans this week to build a major plant overseas.
It will partner up with China`s third largest steel producer to build the world`s largest wire rope plant there.
Wire Rope`s Vice President of Marketing, Dave Hornaday, says this is a great move to a market that is experiencing great demand.
"They`re building everywhere and expanding all the time. So, wire rope consumption is very heavy and so we think it`s a tremendous market opportunity for us. It takes us into a new continent," said Hornaday.
Wire Rope already has a branch in Mexico City, Mexico.
