County Commission Candidates Speak To Sertoma Club

A local community service organization gets a dose of campaign fever... Candidates for Buchanan County Commissioner addressed the Sertoma Club. Presiding Commissioner Tom Mann, and opponent Royal Turner took the time to tell club members a little bit about themselves and their future plans for the county. Topics included budgeting and county finances. Both candidates say they are pleased with how campaigning is going so far. "Its been a good election..the candidate have been talking about the issues..they`ve been talking about what they will do or what they have done if they`re the incumbents," says Presiding Commissioner Tom Mann. "There`s no reason to be negative about this especially at this point in time and you either like what see or don`t," says Royal Turner, Presiding Commissioner Candidate. Elections for the Buchanan County Commission will be August 8th. Other candidates running along with Mann and Turner include Tom Archdekin, Bob Meeks, Richard Rossiter and Dan Weisenberger.
