The democratic challenger of Representative Sam Graves this November made her first official campaign stop in St. Joseph tonight. Sara Jo Shettles came to town from Liberty to drum up campaign support and to meet-and-greet. Shettles gave her platform and talked about changes she believes are necessary for Missouri`s 6th District. Shettles says she wants to see changes within her party, saying, "I even feel a little bit let down by my own party. I feel like there`s responsibility accross the board for all of our leaders right now and that we need to demand for them to step forward and do more relevant things for the areas which send them to represent us." Shettles plans to do a formal tour through the 6th District in the near future.
