Gunman Takes Tattoo Owner By Surprise During Armed Robbery

A gunman pulls off a robbery at a st. Joseph tattoo parlor today police say the suspect walked into Ink-4-You tattoo studio on Frederick just after one o`clock and quickly demanded cash. He made his getaway over a small fence taking off toward Jones Street. The thief wasted little time in getting what he wanted. St. Joseph Police Department Commander Jim Connors said, "Nobody was injured, just shaken up a little bit. There wasn`t anybody else in the store when the gunman came in." Store owner Jimmy Johnson said, "He asked for my money, I told him I didn`t have any and he told me "give me your money using cursewords and I gave him my money and he ran out the door." The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20`s or early 30`s, 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a short sleeved fatigue shirt and blue jeans.
