Pedestrian dies after being hit by car

A car accident in front of Ashland Cemetery in St. Joseph kills a 70-year-old man. Police say Clinton Bentley, of Elwood, Kan. was carrying flowers out of the passengers side of his car when a car driven by 25-year-old Jill Booher of Savannah, Mo. rear-ended his. A Heartland Regional Medical Center ambulance took Bentley to the hospital, where he later died. Police took Booher to the Law Enforcement for questioning, but no charges have been filed, and no tickets have been issued.
