Maryville Inmate Charged with 2 Felony Counts

An inmate from the Missouri Department of Corrections in Maryville is charged with assault on a female employee. The state alleges 22 year old Quincy Vaughn choked and beat the employee`s head and face while saying he intended to rape her. The department of corrections says the assault happened last March during an interview between the two. Vaughn has since been transfered to a maximum security prison in Cameron. Court records indicate the employee suffered a concussion, a broken nose and cuts and bruises. Vaughn is expected in Nodaway court June 6th.
