An Overnight Car Crash Kills one Gower Woman and Hospitalizes Another

An over-night car crash kills one Gower woman and lands another in the hospital with serious injuries. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 38-year-old Dena Fortner and her 33-year-old sister-in-law Megan Fortner were traveling northbound on US 169 Highway in Clinton County just south of Grayson. Troopers say Dena Fortner`s car went off the roadway, she then over-corrected and slid across both lanes before hitting a fence and landing in a ditch. Dena Fortner was pronounced dead at the scene. Megan Fortner was taken by air ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center and remains in critical condition.
