Blacksnakes Co-Owner Speaks to Local Club

Co-owner of the St. Joseph minor league baseball team, Blacksnakes, addressed a local club. Mike Veeck, has operated major and minor league baseball teams for the past thirty-years. Today he spoke with the St. Joseph Rotary Club members about his plans to put the fun back in baseball. Veeck is known his "marketing madness." He`s recieved national attention.. making guest appearances on Sixty-Minutes, the CBS Morning show, and Conan O` Brien to say the least. Today he gave us a preview of his popular promotional stunts. "the little touches that you never expect. For example, if you go on the website today. You`ll see a promotional that we`re doing in St. Paul called the love boat based on the mishap of the Vikings. We take political issues and have fun with them....a few years ago we did the Bush Kerry bobbleheads at all the ball parks which got us national attention," Veeck said. He says they are nearly sold out of seats for the Blacksnake`s first home opener.
