Emma Babcock is Sentenced onTwo-Counts of Manslaughter

A judge shows no mercy today sentencing a St. Joseph woman convicted of killing two senior citizens in a deadly crash. Emma Babcock will serve six years in prison for a crash last september that killed 70-year-old Eliot Zidel and 82-year-old William Mazvinsky. A jury found Babcock guilty in March on two counts of involuntary manslaughter. Prosecutors believed she was driving about 70-miles per hour in a 25-mile per hour zone. Today victims families expressed that Babcock be given the maximum penalty. Before her sentencing a tearful Babcock said she was sorry.
