Possible Connection in Car Break Ins

Police are keeping an eye on a specific St. Joseph neighborhood, after several cars were broken into during a two-day span. So far seven vehicles have been since Monday. St. Joseph Police Department Commander Jim Connors says at least four of those break-ins might be related. Cars were broken into outside of homes on three streets in a three block area. The cars were parked on Ridenbaugh, Corby, and Powell streets which are all less than a half-mile from each other. The fourth incident was on Burnside Avenue. Connors said, "The detectives will be looking at it to see if it matches styles of other break ins. They`ll look to see because sometimes people pick one area of town and then move to another area of town." Commander Connors says that if you leave any valuables in your car that can easily be seen increase your risk of becoming a theft victim.
