Compton Named Assistant Principal of the Year

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.,) Lafayette High School assistant principal, Kris Compton has been named the, "Assistant Principal of the Year," by a group of her peers.

The Northwest District of the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals made the announcement this week.

Compton, who is retiring at the end of the school year, is now in the running for the statewide award.

Dr. Tyran Sumy, LHS principal, said Compton has been very active in creating a more positive culture at Lafayette.
