(MARYVILLE, Mo.) An armed man robbed a Maryville store on Sunday in the middle of the afternoon.

Maryville's Director of Public Safety, Keith Wood, said it happened around 1:30 p.m. at the Dollar General Store north located on Main Street.

According to Wood, a man entered the store with what officers believe to be a semi-automatic gun and demanded money from a cashier.

The man took the money and left the store on foot. Wood said he had his face covered with a bandana during the robbery.

Store employees said there were several customers at the Dollar General at the time, but no one was hurt.

Call authorities in Maryville at (660) 562-3209 with any information that might help them track down a suspect in the investigation.
