(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A St. Joseph hairdresser has more than 100,000 reasons to celebrate after winning a lotto jackpot at a local convenience store.
Joanie Haynes, 36, won $108,000 on a Missouri Lottery Show Me Cash ticket on Feb. 5.
Haynes bought the winning ticket at Pacific Quick Stop on S. Belt Highway in St. Joseph. She said she scanned the Quick Pick ticket several times at the store, then looked it up online to make sure it was a winner.
Haynes split the $216,000 jackpot with another winner.
She said in a media release that she plans on paying off debt and helping her daughter.
"We have three vehicles - mine, my husband's and a daughter who's getting ready to move away," Haynes said. "We're going to pay her car off, and we're going to pay off ours."
