Northwest Ahead of National Average on Student Engagement

(MARYVILLE, Mo.) A recent survey produced some encouraging results for Northwest Missouri State University.

Of the 817 Northwest students who participated in the national survey, 90 percent of first-year students rated their experience at the university as, "good" or "excellent." Northwest seniors displayed satisfaction in their choice of school, with 82 percent saying they would still pick Northwest if they could choose again.

The university's findings ranked them three percent higher than the national average for first-year students and five percent higher on senior satisfaction.

The National Survey of Student Engagement is an annual survey of students at hundreds of colleges and universities nationwide.
