Mo. School Board President Resigns Amidst Allegations

(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.) The new president of the Missouri Board of Education resigned Friday, amidst allegations of sexual misconduct.

A lawsuit filed this week alleges that Reverend Stan Archie made lewd comments to a 15-year-old girl while he was counseling her at a Kansas City church.

Another lawsuit filed last year accused Archie of engaging in inappropriate sexual conduct with a former assistant.

Archie began a term as the board's president earlier this month.

Governor Jay Nixon accepted his resignation his afternoon.
