State's High Court Overturns Conviction in 1990 Murder

A northwest Missouri man convicted of murdering a Chillicothe woman has won an appeal with the state's high court.
The Missouri Supreme Court overturned the conviction against Mark Woodworth, who was sentenced to life in prison for the 1990 shooting death of his neighbor, Catherine Robertson.
Woodworth was convicted twice in Robertson's murder.
Tuesday, the state Supreme Court ruled 6-0 that prosecutors withheld evidence that could have helped Woodworth's defense.
The court ordered that Woodworth's convictions be vacated and that he be released from state custody within 60 days unless the state elects to retry him in that time.

Now put that prosecutor in prison for the same amount of time this man has served. Prosecutors are rarely better than the criminals they try to incarcerate.
