Man Wanted for Atchison Burglary, Beating Arrested in St. Joseph

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo) A man charged with breaking into an Atchison, Kan. home and severely beating a man is now in custody.
Authorities arrested Charles Paradise at a home in St. Joseph Monday.
Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson said Paradise broke into a home on Oct. 29 of last year and beat a 55-year-old man in the head.
Paradise is charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated battery and aggravated burglary.
Paradise is being held in Buchanan County, awaiting a court hearing to see if he will be extradited back to Atchison County to face the charges.
