Interstate 29 Reopens from St. Joseph to Iowa State Line

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A bit of a break for drivers in northwest Missouri after Interstate 29 reopens.
MoDOT advised that the highway reopened around 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon.
The highway had been closed from MO 116 Highway to the Iowa state line for nearly 4 hours
A treacherous morning commute sent tractor trailers and other vehicles slipping and sliding.

A treacherous morning commute sent tractor trailers and other vehicles slipping and sliding.
The wintry conditions and blowing snow that passed through the area left near white-out conditions in some areas.
MoDOT reports that more than 50% of the road may still have snow and/or ice coverage.
