(SAVANNAH, Mo.) Big Brothers Big Sisters offered holiday cheer, and a chance to make a difference in a child's life.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters put on a fundraiser Saturday at Old MacDonald's Farm near Savannah.

Along with raising funds, it wanted to get more people involved with the organization.

The event had pony rides, crafts, a bonfire, and even a visit from Santa.

The organization says mentors can make a big difference in a child's life.

"Kids with mentors are making eye contact with someone, or being able to walk up to someone and introduce themselves, and shake their hand, to definitely improving academically," says Tiffany Miller, of Big Brothers Big Sisters in St. Joseph.
