(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) City Council members will meet next week to discuss the future of a proposed smoking ordinance in St. Joseph.
A work session is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27 at 4:15 p.m. at City Hall.
The meeting follows a series of public hearings where the City Council gathered feedback about the proposed draft ordinance addressing smoking in workplaces and public places.
More than 100 people addressed the topic during those meetings. The City also received more than 500 comments through its website and comment cards.
Council members are reviewing those comments and videos from the meetings to determine whether to move forward with the ordinance.
