(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Missouri Western ran its winning streak to 13 on Friday with a doubleheader sweep of Northeastern State.

The Riverhawks responded with two runs in the top of the second, but wouldn't score the rest of the way.

Simpson finished the game 4-5 with four RBI and a homer.

Grant Fink also went yard in the first contest while driving in for runs.

Game two had a much closer finish to it.

Down 5-2 heading to the bottom of the seventh, Shawn Egge scored from third on a passed ball to cut into the lead.

Later in the inning the Griffs tied the game on RBI singles from Michael Schulze and Nate Ramler.

Still tied 5-5 in the bottom of the eighth, Kyle Simpson drove in Bubba Dotson from third to give Western a 6-5 advantage.
