Missouri Takes Sixth Seed after Loss at Tennessee

(KNOXVILLE, Tenn.) Missouri was eyeing a double bye in the upcoming SEC Tournament when they traveled to Knoxville Saturday.

The Tigers instead surrendered and eight-point lead in the second half and Tennessee edged their visitors 64-62. The defeat drops Missouri (19-11, 11-7) down to the sixth seed in the conference tournament, giving them a first round bye. They'll face the winner of Texas A&M-Auburn on Thursday.

Laurence Bowers finished with a game-high 20 points Saturday, while Phil Pressey was the only other Tiger to hit double figures with 10 points to go with nine assists.
