(AMES, Iowa) After peaking at No. 11 in the nation in this past Monday's AP Poll, Kansas State rounded out the toughest week of their season Saturday.

Fueled by 24 points and 10 rebounds from Wil Clyburn, Iowa State defeated the Wildcats 73-67.

It's Kansas State's (15-4, 4-2) second straight loss after having succumbed to No. 3 Kansas on Tuesday. That loss also broke an eight-game win streak for the Wildcats.

The Cylcones, known for their ability to shoot from deep, knocked down 11-of-22 attempts from beyond the arc.

All-Conference contender Rodney McGruder had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Wildcats, while Will Spradling led the team with 15 points.

Kansas State is back home Wednesday to face Texas.
