(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.) The first extended stretch of struggles for first-year head coach Rob Edmisson continued Saturday.

The Missouri Western Women fell at Lincoln University by a 73-66 final. The Griffons (12-6, 5-5) are now on a three-game losing streak for the first time this season.

The contest was as close throughout as the final score indicated, as a back-and-forth first half resulted in a 33-31 halftime deficit for Missouri Western. However, the Griffons were outscored 40-35 in the second half despite a strong charge out of the locker room.

Alicia Bell finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Lincoln's (9-9, 4-6) Arianna Walker led all scorers with 27 points to go along with 11 boards.

The Griffons return to action in St. Joseph Wednesday, hosting Pittsburg State.
