(MONTGOMERY, Ala.) As he did throughout his senior season at Missouri Western, running back Michael Hill lit up defenders Saturday.

Hill led the Stripes squad to a 31-3 win over the Stars as he was named Offensive Most Valuable Player of the inaugural Raycom All-Star Classic. He posted 148 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.

Both scores were set up by his longest runs of the day. He burst through for a 44-yard run before punching it in from two yards out in the second quarter. Then, he broke a 46-yarder before pulling off a six-yard score in the fourth.

Hill turned enough heads to receive MVP honors from NFL Scouts after having learned he would play in the game just a day before departing for Alabama.

He was also named a D2Football.com and Don Hansen All-America First Teamer earlier this week after compiling a single-season record 2,168 rushing yards in 2012.
