(JOPLIN, Mo.) DeAngelo Hailey had made just two of eight shots through 44 minutes of Northwest's game at Missouri Southern Thursday, but the low percentage didn't stop him from knocking down his final shot attempt of the game.

Hailey made a lay-up with two seconds left in overtime to lift the Bearcats (10-2, 3-0 MIAA) to a 69-68 win over the Lions.

The win for Northwest, who is getting back to MIAA play for the first time since December 8th against Nebraska-Kearney, leaves them with Pittsburg State and Northeastern State as the only men's teams still undefeated in conference games.

Hailey finished the OT win with 13 points and 7 rebounds, while Dillon Starzl led the Bearcats with 22 points.

Northwest moves on to its second of three consecutive road games on Saturday when they play Pitt State.

Tip-off against the Gorillas is 3:00pm, and the game will be televised on the CBS Sports Network.
