(BOCA RATON, Fla.) Surrendering a 16-point first half lead proved to be the beginning of another heartbreaker for Missouri Western Men's Basketball Tuesday.

The Griffons fell in the first game of the Courtyard by Marriott Holiday Classic, 68-64 to Barry University.

Hot shooting from beyond the arc contributed to Missouri Western's (4-5) seven-point halftime lead evaporating, as Barry shot 46.7 percent from long range.

It's the third consecutive loss for the Griffons.

Cedric Clinkscales led Missouri Western with 14 points, while Reed Mells was also in double figures with 13.

Barry's Bryan Van Cott and Aaron Marting dumped in 16 and 15 points, respectively.

The Griffons are back at it Wednesday, continuing the classic against host school Lynn University.
