(MARYVILLE, Mo.) The women of Northwest had little trouble after a nine-day break from game action.

The Bearcats clobbered Midland Lutheran 78-45 Monday for their eighth victory of the season.

After a back-and-forth stretch out the outset had things knotted at 8-8, Northwest (8-2, 2-0) picked things up over the final 36 minutes and didn't look back.

The Warriors made mistakes from there on out, committing 29 turnovers throughout the night and finding themselves down by 37 at one point.

Maggie Marnin finished tops with 19 points, while Meridee Scott was also in double figures with 14. Monique Stevens poured in 13 points to go along with five rebounds and seven assists.

The women return to MIAA play on Jan. 3rd when they face Missouri Southern.
