(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) After a successful high school career, an area golfer looks to find the same success at the next level.

Lafayette's Kaydrie Bergner signed her letter of intent to play for Northwest Missouri State next season.

Bergner heads to Maryville after a senior season that includes winning the MEC Title, which she also claimed as a junior, a 3rd place finish at districts, and she came in 12th at the state tournament.

Bergner took first in six tournaments during a senior campaign that also saw her shoot a 75 during a round of 18 holes, topping a school record that she also set.

The former Lafayette golfer joins an up-and-coming Bearcat squad.

Northwest placed third in the MIAA Championships, a program best. They also pulled in conference awards for player of the year in Cassie Lowell, Steph Charteris was named freshmen of the year, and Pat McLaughlin was named coach of the year.
