ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Western men’s basketball team will travel to Columbia, Mo. to take on the University of Missouri Tigers out of the Big 12 Conference on November 8th, 2007 with tip off scheduled for 7:00 PM. “With all the new guys on our team this year this should be a great experience for all of us,” Smith stated. “It will also be good for our program financially.” This will be the first time since head coach Tom Smith’s arrival at Missouri Western that the Griffons will exhibition a Division I university. The Griffons last played against a Division I school back in the 1977-78 season when they played UC-Santa Barbara and Pepperdine under head coach Gary Filbert. The Griffons lost both games 93-72 and 51-42 respectively.
