King City's Wehrli Enters Pro Football Hall of Fame

Roger Wehrli began his life and football career in King City, Missouri Never did he imagine that football would carry him to Canton Ohio. Wehrli took his place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Saturday, and though his accomplishments for the St. Louis Football Cardinals are what got him there. He made it a point during his speech to recognize the people that got him there. Wehrli addressed the King City contigency that traveled by bus to be there for his induction. Wehrli played 14 seasons for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1969-82 and was a seven-time Pro Bowl pick. He amassed 40 career interceptions and was a member of the All-Decade Team for the 1970s.
