BENTON BASEBALL HEAD FOR FINAL FOUR

State Quaterfinal Games are not supposed to be easy. Somebody tell that to Benton The Baseball Cardinals Struck for 8 first-inning runs en route to a 15-2 victory Saturday at Hyde Park. "Coach Musser told us before the game, that we needed to strike first, strike hard and strike fast. " said Benton 3rd baseman Johnny Coy Thats what we did." Coach Mike Musser just sat back and enjoyed the ride. "We Just came out of the gate so hot.." Musser said. "Our kids were just hungry, and ready to play. What can you say? You just watch them perform." Benton (22-3) will meet Westminster Christian Academy (25-2) in Class 3 Semifinals Friday, June 1st at Meador Park in Springfield.
