(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) A gas leak that blocked a street in St. Joseph Friday afternoon has been cleared.

Police officers, firefighters and representatives from the gas company spent part of Friday afternoon ventilating a home in the 700 block of E. Highland Avenue.

They said there was a high-concentration leak at the home, forcing a woman who lived there to evacuate.

Police blocked traffic on E. Highland while crews worked. The road has since reopened.
