Kansas Earns Share of Big 12 Crown Despite Loss

(WACO, Tex.) A combined 53 points from Pierre Jackson and Cory Jefferson made sure Kansas would not win their fifth straight outright Big 12 title.

The No. 4 Jayhakws fell at Baylor 81-58 Saturday to claim a share of the Big 12 regular season crown along with Kansas State. It's the ninth straight year Kansas (26-5, 14-4) has earned at least a share.

A Wildcat loss earlier in the day ensured the Jayhawks would at least be co-champions before the opening tip. Despite the struggles, Kansas will still be the top seed in the upcoming Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City.

Ben McLemore finished with 23 points for Kansas, who will face the winner of West Virginia-Texas Tech on Thursday.
