(MARYVILLE, Mo.) Head coach Mark Kellogg said the halftime speech to his team was limited to the topic of taking care of the ball.
The Bearcats responded, while shooting 70 percent from the floor in the second half, to secure a 77-60 win over Lincoln.
It snaps a three-game losing skid for Northwest (9-6, 3-3).
A rough first four minutes of the game put the Bearcats in a 10-0 hole. The women clawed back to take a 31-30 lead they would maintain throughout the second half.
The scoring grew a little closer to the even output Kellogg is looking for as four Bearcats finished in double figures. Meridee Scott and Tember Schechinger led the way with 15 points each.
Annie Matthews contributed 12, while Ashleigh Nelson added 10.
The Bearcats hit the floor again Saturday at Central Oklahoma.
