(MARYVILLE, Mo.) For the first time in the 2012-2013 season, the 24th-ranked Northwest Men walked out of Bearcat Arena in defeat.

Despite erasing first half 12-point deficit, cutting the lead to an eventual one possession, the Bearcats fell to Lincoln University 70-65 on Wednesday.

It's the second straight loss for Northwest (11-4, 4-2) after falling at Missouri Western Saturday.

Dillon Starzl and Lyle Harris finished the night in double figures for the Bearcats, pouring in 17 and 10 points, respectively.

The Blue Tigers'  Cedric Ridle led all scorers with 25.

Northwest found themselves down nine points at halftime, but outscored Lincoln 39-35 in the final 20 minutes.

The lead was cut to three with 17 seconds left after a three pointer from DeAngelo Hailey.  Following a quick turnover, Hailey again attempted a long ball, this time to tie, but had it blocked, allowing Lincoln to ice the game from the free throw line.

The Bearcats are back at it Saturday at Central Oklahoma.
