(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) West Platte head coach Zane Tanner knew it would be difficult without leading scorer Adam Roe on the floor.

Salisbury's effort proved too much for the Blue Jays on Saturday, dealing them their first loss of the season, 70-46 in the Class 2 State Championship game.

West Platte's 30-1 mark is the best in program history and earning the second-place trophy matches the school's best finish.

Bryce Cashman ended as the only Blue Jay in double figures with 14 points to go with 10 rebounds.

Salisbury was led by Austin Wyatt's 21 points and Austin Francis' 20.
