Chillicothe softball developing  a softball dynasty.

They come in as a three seed and an underdog in 2009 district play.  They upset top seeds on their way to their 5th straight district title.
 
The Hornets had to get through Benton to do it. They defeat the Cardinals 5-0. Benton a four seed and an underdog in their own right.

Sarah Baldwin led the swarm for the Hornets with a complete game shutout, making Benton hitters look foolish with 17 strikeouts.

Chillicothe will face defending State Champion Platte Co. in sectionals.
