"We've got our typical excess of animals for the fall season," said Will Murphy, Vice President of the Board of Directors for the New Nodaway Humane Society. "We're trying to find them a lot of homes." As part of Adopt a Dog Month, the shelter will offer $10 off on puppies and dogs. The discount will also apply to anyone adopting a cat. The adoption fees include cost of spaying or neutering, working, rabies vaccinations, a microchip implant should the animal go missing, and training information.
