KCP&L is helping cool things down for some people in need.

The utility donated two dozen fans to AFL-CIO Community Services in St. Joseph.

The power company also delivered a load of fans to the Interserv Center.

Leaders with the utility also handed out fans in Mound City and Maryville.

The fans will be available Thursday on a first-come, first-served basis.
